Mike Cummins

The Chairman And President

MIKE Cummins has been involved in the entertainment Industry for over 40 years. This veteran promoter can be creditedwithbeing instrumental in raising the standard of gospel music on the island of Barbados through his various efforts in the areas of being a radio announcer, promotions, music distributor, music seminars with emphasis specially on songwriting, being a vocal coach, artiste management, record producer, televison program producer and the use of evangelical music groups to tour the island and the region.

His best efforts perhaps may be seen in establishing the annual Choir Festivals in Barbados from 1985-1996 and the various Gospel Music Award schemes which today has artistes writing their own songs instead of copying, a practice which was prevalent back in the early days.

He has attended many music seminars in the USA such as The Christian Artiste Music Seminar, Estes Park, Rocky Mountains, The Bobby Jones Retreat in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and the Gospel Music Workshop of America, in Nashville, Tennessee where he was used as a Judge in the Pageant competition.
